The Camden Campbell's plant was the company flagship, but changing times
and economic realities turned it into dead weight. I was one of the employees
that was there at the end. I worked in the warehouse for 7 years, significantly
less than most of my co-workers. The warehouse was full of great people;
I took pictures of many of them in those last days. This site is dedicated
to these people in the hope that some of them or some of their friends
or family may stumble upon it and revive some warm memories. I apologize
for not remembering more names. If anyone has any to fill in please e-mail
me so that I can update the site.
I started this site because I had a bunch of photos that I thought others
might find interesting. I think I found most of them, and will be scaning
them and adding them to the site over the next couple weeks. I'm sure I
have a few additional photos laying around, I'll add them as I find them.
As I started putting this together, I realized that most of my photos are
from the second shift, the one I worked on. I also realized that many of the
key people from the second shift aren't represented. Hopefully what I do have
will be of interest to someone.
If anyone out there has scans of pictures from the Camden Warehouse ( or
Warehouse 61 ), or from the plant itself, and you'd like to share them
with the world, e-mail them to me and I'll include them on the site. If
you are one of the people from Campbell's Camden, and you have a home page
somewhere, e-mail the URL to me so I can put up a link. Any comments, suggestions,
or contributions are welcome.
you. Web master, James Dahlgren
